About us
Established by local people with a passion for photography over 60 years ago, Mold Camera Club is a friendly gathering of 50 or so members who encourage each each in their photography. We are run by our members, for our members and exist simply to 'take pictures, look at pictures and discuss pictures'.
We are committed to helping photographers of all levels achieve what they wish to - whether that is simply enjoying taking and sharing their images, exploring new genres and techniques, or competing in national and international exhibitions or achieving distinctions from organisations like the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (The PAGB) or International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). We are members of the North Wales Photographic Association (NWPA), the local family of camera clubs and have links with the English Federations also. Some of our members judge and lecture at other clubs and in turn we welcome judges and speakers from clubs across the region and from outside the camera club world. Our diverse members are into landscape, wildlife, portrait, abstract, street, macro, astro, documentary, creative and all different types of photography. Some use simple gear, or a mobile phone, others have a collection of high end equipment and everything in between. Whatever your approach to photography, you are likely to find like-minded members to share your interests. Visitors are welcome to attend a few meetings without paying a membership fee to see if the club is for them. We hope you will give us a try. There is a charge of £2.50 on the door which includes a raffle ticket and refreshments. Annual membership is £25 (£12.50 after 1st January).
